Mint & Mustard

Scarf: Target
Sweater: (old)
Jeans: Forever 21
Boots: Old Navy
Bag: Francesca's Collections
Watch: Michael Kors

I love the mint floral scarf I got from my soon-to-be sister-in-law for Christmas! It inspired me to pair mint and mustard together, a color combo I now really like. The Francesca's bag was also a Christmas present - from my sweet fiancé! Overall, the fresh colors of this whole look are a nice break from the darks and neutrals that typically dominate the winter months! Thanks for reading!

2012: The Year of Favor

At the beginning of 2012, my pastor (Mark Crow) shared a Bible verse with our church that truly set the tone for the rest of the year...

"Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield." Psalm 5:12

When I stop to ponder all of the blessings that occurred in 2012, I am overcome with gratitude, humility, and joy. God has always been faithful and continues to blow me away with His love, grace & favor.

Just in the last 6 months I...

...went on a life-changing trip to Lesotho, Africa...

...got engaged to my best friend (!!!) ...

...graduated from college (debt-free!)...

...bought a house (still being built - our view from the backyard!) with my love...

...and had the best family & friends a girl could ask for by my side...

I can only imagine what God has in store for 2013! More than anything, I'm excited for another year to grow closer to Him...what a love story...what an adventure!

the ZOO on Christmas Eve...

My family started a new tradition last year of going to the Zoo on Christmas Eve! I was so excited for Reed to join us this year. He brought along his new camera and snapped some photos during our time there (hopefully he'll be able to take more photos for my blog soon, especially when we're married!). It was FREEZING, but we made the best of it. We saw lots of animals and had a lot of laughs with my mom and grandparents. A perfect start to Christmas Eve!
