I Can't Say "I Do"...

One of the first things I wanted to do after getting engaged was think of a cute, creative way to ask the important girls in my life to be my bridesmaids! I decided to make each of them a handmade card with a personal note and invitation to come to a "bridesmaid orientation" (I'll post more about that next week!). Their RSVP was to send me a picture of themselves with the card, thus the collage below! We're all getting together this weekend to have cupcakes and talk over wedding details. They'll also be receiving a special little surprise I've been working on, which hopefully I can share with all of you next week! 

I'm so excited to continue this wedding journey with such an amazing group of girls by my side! I'm also glad I can share this journey with all of you! Thanks for reading!

Happy Dance

Yesterday marked 15 months for Reed and me...my how time has flown! In just a few more months we will be married! We are keeping very busy with wedding plans but are making sure to laugh and have fun along the way. These awesome photos, taken by the amazing Derek Green, captured my happy dance after Reed asked me to marry him. I have no doubt I'll be doing that dance for the rest of my life!

I had been in major need of a new laptop bag and was thrilled to open a cute Betsey Johnson one from my parents for Christmas! I love anything leopard-print, and the sequins are a fun touch! The bag inspired me to pull another sequined item from my closet to create this look. When creating a "menswear-inspired" outfit, I make sure to incorporate an adequate amount of feminine touches. The statement necklace, sequined tank, coral jeans, and pink-soled oxfords were the perfect details for this one.
